Welcome Fred and Morgan Wright. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Friday night dinner at the Chart House Restaurant. Party afterwards at Racing's North Turn Bar and Grill. This looks like trouble!
Doc and the kids sing for dollars and raised nearly 1,400.00 for the cause. Larry and Elna Duffield's 4th trip to Daytona and acting support from Children's Hospital. Junior Team Seattle members, Tiana and Brian, put on quite a dance show adding nicely to the fund raising campaign. Team members Chris and Vicki Pallis make their first appearance to Daytona. More to come!

Daughter Siena decides NOT to ride out in the race car. Car # 5 sporting a new paint job, This car will follow the Pruskowski's effort in the 2004 Grand-Am series. Pre-Grid prior to the start. Drivers Don and Joe discuss last minute strategy....."I want to go first..no me...ok let's flip a coin."
It's a dry start for the 42nd running of Daytona. Car # 5 shred-it Speed Secrets warming up with Scott Maxwell behind the wheel Who's Calling & Strobe Data Car # 15 warming up with Dave Gaylord behind the wheel. Conditions cool and windy. And the race is on! Cool shot of the 15 car in traffic. Hospitality tent a gathering spot to watch the race and have some great food & company.
The rain starts about 3:30 PM and doesn't let up until 11:00 the following day. Doc Doolittle doesn't let a little rain ruin his fun! Car # 15 riddled with problems early on. Siena and Michelle watch the TV as both their dad's race in the rain.
Bus stop is the place to see some wild action driving at night in the rain. Eric gives us a report...."it's raining out there and they are still racing!" Car # 15 experiences motor failure Car #1 5 finds itself parked in the garage area by 9:00 PM. A very lonely place to be.
Hospitality tent is the place to stay warm and dry as the race enters it's 10th hour. Cassie and Brian all bundled up as the temperatures plunge and the torrential rain doesn't let up. The TV's and scanners get lots of use as everyone follows the race inside as the cars buzz outside. In the hot pits. TV and computer monitors used for race strategy. Essex Michael Gue doesn't give up.

Volunteer fire fighter takes a minute to come in from the rain, eat, and follow the race. "Wow, is that a boat or a car?" Water spray off the cars make visibility nearly impossible. Car # 5 makes it's first appearance on the NEXTEL leader board. Go # 5 ! Lisa and John Jensen huge race fans and supporters having fun in spite of the rain.
Special thanks to Shred-it & Mac Douglas primary sponsor for Team Seattle the last two years. Car # 5 experiences electrical trouble and is out of the race by 6:00 AM Sunday. Morning has arrived, thank you Speed & camera crew for the incredible coverage you provided. After the race,,,what to do??? Super bowl party in the lobby of the hotel!
Team prepares for a 7:00 AM flight back to Seattle. 10 Junior Team Seattle members take up 3 seats on the plane. Siena and Donna Kitch give thanks & appreciation to everyone involved. Don takes a moment to discuss plans for 2005.
