Team Seattle Signs Key Team Members

A Winning Driver and Championship Race Manager for Daytona Effort

James GueTeam Seattle has added two championship level team members. Driver James Gue will be joining Team Seattle founder and driver Don Kitch Jr., at the 24 Hours of Daytona next January. Gue, a 28 year old Atlanta, GA resident, finished second in this year’s KONI Sports Car Challenge Grand. This is the second consecutive year he has just missed the season championship podium. But he is familiar with standing on the top step. During the season he won twice and he finished all 11 races in ninth position or better.

Also joining the team is Michael Gue, who will serve as the race team manager. If the name sounds familiar it’s because Michael was the Team Seattle race manager for the team’s successful run in the 24 Hours of Le Man last June. And yes, he is related to the team’s newest driver – he is James’ dad.

In making the announcement Kitch said: “We are really fortunate to have Michael and James join us. They bring a world of experience to our effort and naturally, given their relationship, we get double the power because these two racers know how to communicate, motivate and win.” Kitch also said discussions are underway with other potential drivers and an announcement could be made soon.
