About Us

Who Are We?

We are a group of road racing fans, drivers, and sponsors who, along with their friends and family, want to make a difference in our community by combining two passions: a love of motorsports and a commitment to Seattle Children’s Hospital.

We use corporate and private sponsorship to underwrite the cost of the race cars so that one hundred percent of the donations go to help the children in the pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Seattle Children’s Hospital. As you can see by our history shown below – we have years of success.

In 2010 Team Seattle joined with with Dempsey Racing to field two Mazda RX8 race cars raising over $500,000 for the CICU at Seattle Children’s Hospital. That relationship continued into 2011 with the team raising $250,000 for the hospital. 2012 marked the 2nd year that Team Seattle partnered Dempsey Racing and with a goal to exceed the landmark 2010 number and continue to raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital. In a touch economic climate that goal wasn’t hit but over quarter of a million had been raised. In 2014, we regrouped and formed a national campaign, “The Heart of Racing.” Our new website, theheartofracing.org is an updated campaign to focus on our state of the art, Heart Center, here in Seattle.

The 2014 campaign was a turning point for Team Seattle.  The team will be expanding the IMSA experience further and in 2015 for the first time ever, “The Heart of Racing” will be showcased in multiple races in Europe and Asia. Watch as we make history and bring awareness to our mission, -The Heart Center at Seattle Children’s Hospital.
