Getting Ready for 2007!

Special thanks to teammate, Jeff Larson, and Synergy Racing for providing us these images.
Early morning laps in the rental cars. Waiting, watching, watching, waiting. Don chats with fellow drivers David Murry and Ross Bentley Chris Pallis waiting for his first stint, concentrating and visualizing the track is like driving the track.
Each driver has 25 laps in the day starting with a 5 lap warm up then two ten lap practices calling it a day. Synergy Owner, Cole Schrogham, (red jacket) debriefs with test driver David Murry. Getting the drivers adjusted to the seat and harness system. Looking good on the track.
What a cute backend! Nice from the sides too : ) Paint lights up in the sun. Waiting for more fun.
Practicing the driver change. Organization, and pre-planning are the keys to success Can you say, "On Fire!" Waiting to cause some more thunder on the high banks of Daytona.
Drivers have a lot to focus on in the cockpit. Controls, switches, radios, computers, etc. Our crew.

Have Technology...will travel.

What a great looking team!

"This was my first time driving at Daytona, and the first time in a 997 GT3 Cup car, so my learning curve was steep! The cars are fantastic looking in the new color scheme and even more awesome to drive. It was clear that Synergy had done their homework and preparation and the cars arrived ready to go and didn’t hiccup once over the two days. Everyone on the team was super patient, and the real-time coaching with Ross Bentley, David Murry and my fellow team drivers enabled me to get quickly comfortable in the car, and down to competitive and consistent times by the end of the two day session. Foot-to-the-floor at 170 mph through the banking before braking hard for the 2nd gear Turn 1 is an attention-getter! I can’t wait to get back into the car at the January test, and look forward to racing for Team Seattle and Children’s Hospital."~ Tony Bawcutt-Team Seattle Driver

“The weather was perfect, the cars were perfect and Synergy did a fantastic job preparing on all fronts for what would prove to be a very successful 2-day test. We also really “gelled” with the crew and had a ball. Best of all, all 8 drivers make a wonderful team and we work together well. I have very high hopes for this year’s Daytona / Children’s effort.” ~Chris Pallis Third Year Driving for Team Seattle

“The perfect start to the 2007 Team Seattle campaign of the Rolex Daytona 24 hour. A superb driver line up was greeted in Florida with perfect weather, some amazing looking cars, the Synergy team working like clock work and an air of excitement around everybody that this is going to be the biggest and best year Team Seattle has ever had. January just can’t come quick enough!” ~Chris Pennington Second Year Driving for Team Seattle.

"Synergy Racing and our driving team, did a great job at the October test. Just wait until you see the cars on the banking come out of the shade and flash in the sunlight. As like every year, I am very much looking forward to the race and the to the tote board numbers building to that final check amount for Children's Hospita."
~~Dave Gaylord Team Seattle Driver and Treasurer 11 years

"What a tremendous thrill it was for me to finally have the opportunity to drive the Daytona road course for the first time in a Porsche 997 SuperCup race car! Since my earliest childhood, it has been one of my life’s dreams to race at the Daytona 24 Hour Endurance Race. So, to be able to accomplish this together with Team Seattle, makes it all the more meaningful. The testing sessions went off just great. Synergy Racing had the cars well prepped for our 2 days and their crew assisted the team superbly. My thanks to both Don Kitch and Dave Gaylord, along with the other experienced Team Seattle drivers, for sharing their insights and advice on how to navigate my way around Daytona so quickly and safely. I am really looking forward to our early January testing so that we can continue the cohesiveness that began this week. Each one of the cars has a great driver lineup and is ready to do battle with the other competing teams come race day." ~ Hal Hilton First Year Driving for Team Seattle
